I'm interested in connections.
How ideas connect with each other.
Chicle bomba (chewing-bomb) is an experiment on the development of a network of ideas, using Google as a research tool. After a series of bubble diagram drawings, the crowds on the streets were connected to chewing gum. My actual work deals with crowds, in an intuitive starting point that develops surrounding the idea from the tangent. This means that that the crowds are observed from the distance, from the ideas that connect with it. For instance, in the search of the crowd on the streets I found that it leaves residues, being garbage or chewing gum that pedestrians keep adhering to some surfaces. This can be seen on the streets in Mexico. Tree trunks on the street covered with bubble gum that people stick to it as they walk by, in an act of absurd solidarity.
Is there any relationship of chewing gum with politics?
